Stick Horses in Pants Win "Best Of" Awards
Stick Horses in Pants has done it again. The troupe was recently awarded five Reader's Choice Awards in the Colorado Springs Gazette's Best of the Springs contest. And the awards are (drum roll please):
Best Theater Troupe
For the second year running, Stick Horses in Pants took home this award. Click on the link to see a rare, behind-the-scenes photo (I'd never seen this one).
Fans like Stick Horses for the same reason Forrest Gump liked boxes of chocolates: You never know what you're going to get.
Best Actor—Toby Lorenc
We depend on his ability to hit a comedic home run in 99.9 percent of his scenes, we're just glad our fans recognize it, too. Way to go, Tobs!
A real estate agent by day, Lorenc becomes an improv comedy actor by night. A fan raved: "Funny, funny, funny. A fantastic character actor and shining star in the Stick Horses in Pants comedy troupe."
Best Actress—Lacey Maynard
What an honor to have not one, but two, of our troupe members honored as the best actors in Colorado Springs! Lacey had an amazing year, winning the Netflix Greatest Kiss Contest and acting in a local play.
Another performer in Stick Horses, Maynard also performs at the Colorado Renaissance Festival. Fans call her "versatile, upbeat, larger than life." One fan said she's "pee-in-your-pants funny."
Best Kiss—Lacey Maynard and Kaleb Kohart
This was an invented category, but winning the Netflix contest made these two local celebrities.
Maynard and Kohart got a perfect score in the "Netflix Greatest Kiss Challenge" in New York City. Their "Gone With the Wind" kiss squared off against "Titanic" and "Back to the Future" kisses by duos who are kissing couples in real life. Maynard and Kohart aren't a couple - they are actors in rival Colorado Springs comedy troupes.
Best Web Site
We owe this all to our very own Hunter Willis. He's revamped the Web site this year, making it look awesome and increasingly user-friendly.

Announcing...
My first book. Zondervan publishes the Faithgirlz Handbook in October. I received the check on Monday.
Affection
[At lunch today after Kevin and I established that improv might run late tonight and he needs to go to bed early.]
Me: Well, we already have seen each other today, so technically...
Kevin: I'll see you tonight after improv.
