Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half-Marathon

Saturday morning at 8, Krishana and I started running in Georgetown.

Two hours and twenty minutes—and 13.1 miles—later I crossed the finish line in Idaho Springs.

Tra'cee, our faithful friend, summer Georgetown resident and photographer poses with us after the race.

Hi Suzanne, my name is Melissa and i'm from Malaysia.I read your articles from Boundless and i occasionally pop by your blog too (i hope you dont mind)...just wanted you to know that i enjoy your writings and thoughts very much, and you've been an inpiration in more ways than one! :)

Oh and congrats on your half marathon(your first?)2 hrs 20 min is very good time!

We have alot of races here in Kuala Lumpur too. I've not done my half marathon yet (working towards it, haha) the furthest ive run so far is only at 15km. So yeah, when i do run my first half marathon (hopefully before the year ends) i'll use your time as a benchmark! :P

Anyways Suzanne, just want you to know, you're making a difference, even half way across the world! Keep it up!

Melissa,

Thank you for stopping by! And thank you for your kind words. I'm glad to know I have a friend in Malaysia! :) Keep in mind that my half-marathon (and yes, it was my first) was almost entirely downhill. So it was an extra-fast run because of that. My goal was to do it in 2:30.

Thank you again for your encouragement, Melissa. It means a lot to me.
